Synopsis
by Richard Harris
Directed by Jay Cundell Walker
This amateur production of “Stepping Out” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
"It may be February outside, but it’s always August under your armpits."
Stepping Out is a rollicking comedy about a group of seven mismatched women and one brave man who attend a beginners’ tap-dancing class in a run-down church hall in North London. They turn up each week to learn a few new steps, but progress is hilariously slower for some dancers than others.
When their teacher Mavis tells them they are going to perform in a local charity showcase, the pressure is on!
As they pull together to prepare for the big day, we follow the characters on a heartwarming journey that celebrates friendship, courage, and of course... dancing! Will they be ready in time?
