The Hound of the Baskervilles

The Hound of the Baskervilles

The Hound of the Baskervilles

by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, adapted by Steven Canny and John Nicholson for Peepolykus.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with NICK HERN BOOKS

Be afraid! The Hound is coming to Ilkley Moor!

Sherlock Holmes' most famous case starts with a grisly death on the wild and windy moor. Sir Charles Baskerville is found, a look of terror etched on his face and beside his body the paw prints of a giant hound. The great detective and his faithful Watson return to Baker Street to investigate the ancient curse of the Baskervilles.

This "wonderfully barking spoof" is a glorious send up of the Conan Doyle story.

Join us on the wild moors with three actors playing all the characters in this ingenious comedy adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most celebrated Sherlock Holmes story.  Watch the mystery unravel as the different characters change hats before your very eyes.

Do you dare cross Ilkley Moor in those dark hours just before curtain up, when Evil Powers are abroad?

This exhilarating collision of farce, theatrical invention and wonderfully comic performance is a whodunnit for all ages.

Directed by Robin Martin.
