Synopsis

Under current Government restrictions, these performances will only go ahead if the review on the 16th December places Ilkley in Tier 1 or 2. Ticket sales are suspended until then.

Written and directed by Jamesine Cundell Walker

An open-air Nativity suitable for adults and over 11s, with musical accompaniment provided by members of the Two Rivers Band.

A Christmas story with a difference. Join us for the familiar story told through the eyes of 2020.

A series of monologues will be presented by the main characters at intervals across the Ilkley Riverside Gardens and finishing in the Manor House Courtyard.

This festive journey starts outside Ilkley Playhouse for a socially distanced glass of mulled wine (or orange juice) and a mince pie. Then you will move through the darkened gardens to hear the Christmas story re-imagined.

Groups will be a maximum of 25 to ensure good distancing, but the whole event takes place in the outdoors for your safety. We recommend wearing a face covering.

Please bring a torch to light your way and to add to the Christmas atmosphere - it is advisable to wear warm clothes and sensible footwear.

An alternative route is available if you are unable to manage a few stairs but please inform us at info@ilkleyplayhouse.co.uk

as we will appoint an additional steward to accompany you.
