Synopsis

Certificate PG-13 with Subtitles.

As part of Refugee Week 2022, Wharfedale Amnesty is delighted to be showing the animated Danish documentary film, Flee.

Nominated for 3 Oscars (best documentary; best animated film; and best international film) and 2 BAFTA awards, Flee tells the extraordinary true story of a man, Amin, on the verge of marriage – which compels him to reveal his hidden past for the first time.

Please note that all surplus funds will go to Amnesty International UK, the world's leading human rights organisation, campaigning against injustice and inequality everywhere. We thank Curzon World Limited for the permission to show this film.

There will be an information stall from Wharfedale Amnesty beforehand (doors open 7pm) and the bar will be open before and after the film, with the opportunity for a discussion about the film afterwards. Drinks can be taken into the auditorium in plastic glasses.

Tickets £10 (£6 students)
